I build truly unique structures and design 3D and orthographic drawings to showcase your design, long before the tool belt comes out and construction begins. My clients and I are patient; we craft with intent, and it shows in the finished product.

Wood is beautifully unique. Every board has character and imperfections. Installation requires special thought and consideration. Bows, cups, checks and crowns are special inconsistencies that appear in wood. A good carpenter works with these unique traits and crafts something with intent and appeal. What types of footings do you use?
Helical Piles because they are not going anywhere.
Are permits carried out by you?
Permits/inspections and all pre-construction managed as part of the project.
Can deck lighting and other features be added later if it does not meet my budget?
I believe in future proofing your deck and take time to design each structure to allow for future
renovations.
Can we keep the existing deck frame and simply replace the decking boards?
Technically, yes—but it isn’t recommended. If the original deck frame is reused:
· Any manufacturer warranties on new decking boards may be voided.
· As the installer I cannot guarantee the final product, as the underlying structure was not built by me.
For the best long-term performance, safety, and warranty protection, replacing the frame along with the decking is recommended.
Do I need a permit for a new deck or fence?
Permit requirements vary by municipality.
In the City of Guelph:
· Decks under 2 feet in height do not require a building permit.
· Decks over 2 feet in height must be permitted.
Fences do not require permits.
However, homeowners should always confirm local bylaws, including:
· Maximum allowable fence height
· Setbacks from property lines
· Special subdivision or community restrictions
How far out in the year are you booking projects?
Project scheduling depends on availability, season, and project size.
If you inquire early, your project can typically be completed within the same season. However:
· Larger projects may require more lead time.
· Weather and seasonal demand can also affect timelines.
Reaching out early increases the likelihood of completion within your preferred window.

Do you provide fence repair services?
In general, we do not offer repair services.
Do you offer demolition services on old fences?
Demolition can be included in your new fence build.
